Quick Start Guide
Get up and running with Musebox in just a few minutes. This guide will walk you through creating your first prompt and exploring the platform.

If you already have a Musebox account, you can skip to creating your first prompt.
Step 1: Create an Account
To get started with Musebox, you'll need to create a free account:
- Visit musebox.io
- Click the Sign Up button in the top right corner
- Choose your preferred sign-up method:
- Sign up with email and password
- Sign up with Google
- Sign up with GitHub
- Complete the onboarding process
Note
Your account gives you access to all Musebox features, including creating prompts, following creators, and using the browser extension.
Step 2: Create Your First Prompt
Once you're logged in, creating your first prompt is easy:
- Click the Create Prompt button in the navigation bar
- Enter a title for your prompt (e.g., "Blog Post Writer")
- Write your prompt content in the text editor
- Add relevant tags to help others discover your prompt
- Choose whether to make your prompt public or private
- Click Save to create your prompt

Start with a simple prompt and iterate. You can always edit and improve your prompts later!
Step 3: Add Variables (Optional)
Variables make your prompts dynamic and reusable. Here's how to add them:
- In the prompt editor, use double curly braces to define a variable:
{{variable_name}} - Click the Add Variable button
- Configure your variable:
- Text variables - For simple text input
- Dropdown variables - For predefined options
- Number variables - For numeric values

Step 4: Explore the Community
Discover what others are creating:
- Browse prompts - Visit the Community page to explore trending and popular prompts
- Search by tag - Find prompts related to specific topics or use cases
- Follow creators - Stay updated with your favorite prompt creators
- Like and remix - Show appreciation for great prompts or customize them for your needs
Step 5: Install the Browser Extension
Take your prompts anywhere with the Musebox browser extension:
- Visit the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons
- Search for "Musebox"
- Click Add to Browser
- Sign in with your Musebox account
- Access your prompts directly in ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI platforms
Extension Requirements
The browser extension requires an active Musebox account. Make sure you're signed in to use all features.
